Local organizers are asking that we join them to march peacefully on the Capitol and demand justice for the most recent victims of racist police brutality. This is a critical time in our country's history. We must show the state that we stand with our Black brothers and sisters in the struggle for racial justice. We will not tolerate another murderous cop walking free while we mourn another innocent life lost.
We know that gathering during a pandemic is risky for many, which is why we are asking that attendees practice social distancing as much as possible and wear protective masks at all times.
If you are unable to attend the march, please consider making a donation to Atlanta Solidarity Fund or the National Lawyers Guild, two organizations that provide legal aid for protesters.
Please see the general channel in our Slack space to link up with other MADSA members who will be there.
We'll see you on the streets!
