Vivek Ramaswamy is a self-serving billionaire. Ohioans cannot count on him to help them feel relief

Hi, my name is Amy Acton, and I am running to be Ohio’s Governor.

I’ve spent almost my entire life in Ohio. I grew up moving from place to place, often not knowing where we would sleep or if my brother and I would eat dinner that night. I worked hard to put myself through college and medical school. And after a career advocating for maternal health and homeless youth in Ohio, I led Ohio through the COVID-19 crisis as the Director of the Department of Health.

Listen, I know too well what it’s like to struggle to afford food, rent, medications, and other needs – and I’ll never turn away from Ohioans going through the same struggles that I’ve faced.

But now MAGA billionaire Vivek Ramaswamy is also running for Governor of Ohio – and this majorly ups the stakes of my race.

I won’t lie to you: I need to massively step up my fundraising to compete with a billionaire.

That’s why my team and I set a goal to raise $10,000 today to get our resources ready to stop this out-of-touch billionaire from buying the election. Will you please support my campaign to serve Ohioans by chipping in $5 or $10 between me and iVote Fund?

Ohioans deserve someone they can trust to run the state. And I don't know about you, but I don't trust that a billionaire who has attached himself to Donald Trump and the MAGA-movement is going to choose Ohioans over himself.

But I know what it's like to put the people of this state first, and I will be the leader that Ohioans deserve.

Vivek Ramaswamy wants to buy his way to the governorship. That's why it's imperative we build a grassroots campaign that can go toe-to-toe with his warchest full of money. I'm humbly asking: will you chip in a split donation between my campaign and iVote Fund?

iVote was created in 2014 with one goal: secure voting rights for all Americans.

Rather than take on challenges in the court after unfair laws have passed, iVote plays defense on voter suppression efforts AND goes on offense to secure and expand access to voting.

Going on offense is critical. We have the chance to elect Secretaries of State that will protect our elections for years to come. But Republicans are already suppressing and blocking certain citizens from exercising their fundamental right to vote.

We need a massive coalition to register new voters and protect our right to vote in this election and beyond.

We know you get a lot of emails, but it's only because this fight is so important. We need you to stick with us long term. But if you must go, you can unsubscribe.
