Trump & God vs. Trans Ideology

President Donald Trump is serious about protecting normalcy from leftist insanity. At a White House meeting Friday with the nation’s governors, President Trump directly confronted Maine’s Governor Janet Mills over her refusal to comply with his new policy keeping boys out of girls’ sports.

Trump told the governor that she had better comply or her state would lose all federal funding. Gov. Mills threatened to sue the federal government, and Trump replied, “Good, I’ll see you in court. I look forward to that.”

Before the day was over, the Department of Education had launched an investigation into whether Maine was violating Title IX. California and Minnesota are also defying the president.

Meanwhile, the battle goes on. A lesbian judge appointed by Joe Biden blasted the president’s policy on transgenderism in the military. She said the idea that there are only two sexes is “incorrect as a biological matter.”

Donald Trump is the commander-in-chief. But this judge thinks she knows military policy better than the president. The Justice Department filed a complaint over the judge’s “hostile and egregious misconduct.”

After Trump’s order protecting women’s sports, the NCAA quickly said it would comply with the president’s clear standard. But Riley Gaines says the NCAA’s new rules are a total joke. She’s right.

The bottom line is that this is not a “side issue” or minor issue. If it were, Democrats wouldn’t be falling on their sword over men pretending to be women.

But this is a key issue for the left. It is the embodiment of the radical secular left’s worldview – there is no God, and there is no truth.

The left says, “We are God, and we make our own truth. We can destroy innocent babies made in God’s image in the ninth month of pregnancy. We can mutilate our bodies to change our gender. And you better call that girl a boy, or we will throw you in jail.”

This is not and has never been a minor matter.

Three Years

Today marks the third anniversary of the Ukrainian-Russian war. At least one million people have been killed or wounded in this conflict. Yet, this is the most hopeful time in the entire three years that there may be a peace agreement.

Here’s something obvious, but I’ll say it anyway: Even if Joe Biden wanted a peace deal between Ukraine and Russia, he was incapable of getting it done. It would require direct leader-to-leader diplomacy, but he was a puppet every day of his presidency. The only chance for peace is because Donald Trump won the election.

President Trump is meeting one-on-one with European leaders this week. We have sent our top leaders – Vice President Vance, Secretary of State Rubio, and Defense Secretary Hegseth – to speak truth to the Europeans about what is realistic and what isn’t.

By the way, I’ve noticed there is unease among some conservatives and Christians over Trump’s efforts to secure a mineral deal between the United States and Ukraine. I had a very bright Christian lawyer say to me recently, “America doesn’t demand payback for support. We didn’t do that after World War II.”

Here’s reality. After World War II, we stood like a colossus on the world scene. Our homeland, the continental United States, had not felt the ravages of the war. The British Empire was destroyed. Every other major nation was on its back. We had a vibrant manufacturing base. No one was going to dislodge us.

Those days are long gone.

We are massively in debt. Our military has been left in the dust by an enormous Chinese military buildup. Our industrial base has been decimated. We are barely able to make enough weapons to even supply Ukraine.

All the things necessary for technology in the modern world, including our military, require rare earth metals. Right now, we are dependent on communist China and Russia for those things.

It would be presidential incompetence, bordering on malfeasance, to not use this opportunity to seek some recompense for the American people and to secure our access to vital resources at a time when we are facing a potential worldwide disaster.

The Trump Effect

Last week, Apple CEO Tim Cook met with President Trump at the White House. Today, Apple announced that it is investing $500 billion in U.S. manufacturing over the next four years. It is expanding operations in nine states, creating 20,000 new jobs.

One big part of the expansion includes a new factory in Texas building servers to support Apple’s work in artificial intelligence. Here’s to hoping we can turn our educational system around in time!

But here’s the most important point: This is a major investment in America. This is part of the reshoring of our economy and our security back to America -- a place that can be protected. And we’re just scratching the surface of what needs to be done.

Tim Cook has not suddenly become a conservative. Neither has Mark Zuckerberg. But they understand who is in the driver’s seat (Donald Trump), and they see the mood of America and the population of Europe on a host of issues. They are many things, but they are not stupid.

Why Trump Ran

President Trump spoke to the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) this weekend, and he told the audience why he felt like he had to run again in 2024. Trump said he just “couldn’t stand” watching Biden’s open borders destroying our country. Watch his remarks here.

Trump also said, “And now we don’t have that problem.” He’s right! I’ve never seen anything like this. We have gone from record illegal immigration under Joe Biden with 12,000 people a day crossing the border to record low illegal immigration, perhaps the lowest level in 60 years.

So far this month, less than 400 people a day are apprehended at the southern border. And what they’re not telling you is that half of those were liberals trying to get out of the country. (That’s a joke!)

A Tragic Weekend

This weekend, two Virginia police officers were executed after they pulled over a car with expired plates. A police officer in Pennsylvania was shot and killed trying to stop a man with a gun in a hospital. And the border patrol agent killed in Vermont by members of a transgender vegan anarchist group (yes, you read that correctly) was laid to rest.

I guarantee that you will not hear one prominent liberal politician say anything noteworthy about any of those men who died in the line of duty. You’re much more likely to hear them shedding tears over the fact that criminal illegal aliens are being apprehended and removed from America.

Border Czar Tom Homan told the CPAC audience that the sanctuary state of Massachusetts has released at least nine child rapists from jail “rather than honoring an ICE detainer” so they could be deported. He was angry as he shared this news, as every American should be.

That’s why he said, “I’m coming to Boston, and I’m bringing hell with me.”

Germany Moves Right – Sort Of

German elections this weekend were a clear repudiation of Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s socialist government. Friedrich Mertz, of the center-right Christian Democratic Union, will be Germany’s new chancellor as the CDU finished in first place. But the results for both establishment parties were terrible.

Scholtz’s Social Democrats suffered their worst electoral defeat since World War II, finishing third. Mertz’s Christian Democrats suffered their second-worst showing since World War II, not even getting 30% of the vote. As a result, Mertz’s party does not have a majority in the Bundestag and will have to form a coalition government.

But because Mertz has ruled out working with the second largest party, the populist Alternative for Germany, he cannot form a government unless he joins with the Socialists. Such a partnership only guarantees that leftist policies will still have some influence on the new “conservative” government.

Poll Position

There’s a full-court press on right now to frighten Republicans into thinking that the public is horrified by the actions President Trump is taking. Several polls have been released lately that suggest the American people are turning against Donald Trump. Of course, many of these polls are the same ones that showed Kamala Harris winning on Election Day.

Any Republican in Congress wetting their pants ought to take a deep breath. A new Harvard-Harris poll, hardly favorable to the GOP, finds encouraging results. For example:
  • 58% of voters say Donald Trump is doing a better job as president than Joe Biden.
  • 81% of Americans support Trump’s policy of deporting criminal illegal aliens.
  • 76% support closing the border.
  • 76% support efforts to eliminate fraud and waste in the federal government.
  • 69% support cutting $1 trillion of government spending.
  • 69% support banning men from women’s sports.
  • 57% say tariffs are an effective economic and foreign policy tool.
  • 72% want a negotiated settlement to the war in Ukraine.
  • 61% of voters believe we should give Ukraine security guarantees only if it agrees to give the United States access to its rare earth minerals.
  • Only 36% of voters approve of the Democrat Party, while 49% approve of the GOP.
