Dear John,

I began working at Concerned Veterans for America (CVA) almost 13 years ago.
I’m the last “plank holder” still here. Our work at CVA never fails to fulfill
my desire to continue to serve our nation – to serve our nation as proudly as I
did during my service in both the U.S. Marines Corps and the U.S. Army, and
like then, to serve it alongside veterans.

Last week CVA announced John Vick as the organization’s new executive director
<[link removed]>
. I’ve known John for a few years now, and I’ve gotten to know him much better
over the last few weeks as he’s onboarded to CVA. In 2025, CVA will enlarge our
advocacy footprint in Washington and in states across the country. John is
uniquely qualified to ensure that we build off our successes of the last 13
years, and tackle issues that affect Americans, like economic policies, tax
policies and energy abundance.

John Vick served as a United States Marine and, after graduating from the U.S.
Naval Academy, as an officer of the U.S. Navy where he continues to serve in
the Navy Reserve. Along with his military experience and his connection to
veterans, John has extensive experience in grassroots leadership and policy
advocacy. He also brings his resolute passion for amplifying veteran voices in
all aspects of American governance, to shape a positive future for all
Americans.

We’re writing the next chapter of CVA’s story, and John Vick is the right
leader. Our success since we began operating in 2012 proves the value of CVA’s
original vision. A vision of an America where veterans volunteered to serve
this country and offered their trusted voices to help shape a better nation. We
have so much more to do, and it will be exciting to watch John lead CVA to
accomplish more reform that improves the lives of our fellow citizens.

To get to know more about John, check out CVA’s press announcement here.
