STOP WORK ORDER: With a few exemptions, U.S. government funding for UNFPA’s lifesaving care is currently *suspended* .
This is the wrong time to be scaling back our lifesaving work in Ukraine. Will you rush a donation right now to sustain programs for women, girls, pregnant mothers, and infants? [[link removed]?]
DONATE NOW [[link removed]?]

The war in Ukraine started three years ago today.

As we reflect on this somber anniversary, we cannot forget that women and girls still desperately need our support.

The war continues to take a heavy toll on millions of women and girls, exacerbating the risks of violence against women, sexual exploitation, and abuse, while eliminating livelihoods and increasing poverty levels.

Intensified attacks and destruction of civilian infrastructure, particularly energy infrastructure, are causing a severe strain on social service systems. Power outages caused by attacks on energy infrastructure are severely impacting healthcare facilities in Ukraine.

Constant shelling is seriously impacting stress levels and mental health for Ukrainians, contributing to an increase in complications during childbirth.

As the war persists and women and girls continue to suffer, UNFPA is providing much-needed humanitarian aid in the region thanks to the generosity of donors like you.

Last year, UNFPA reached over 1 million women and girls with sexual and reproductive health services in Ukraine alone and 375,000 with interventions related to the prevention, mitigation, and response to violence.

Our teams have provided maternity kits, life-saving drugs, and cash assistance to pregnant and breastfeeding women to support their children.

We cannot turn away from Ukraine, especially as the war persists and the winter months bring brutally cold conditions. On the third anniversary of war in Ukraine, will you rush a life-saving emergency gift to support women and girls in crisis zones? [[link removed]?]

MAKE AN EMERGENCY GIFT [[link removed]?]

Thank you for being there for women and girls.

Sincerely,
