Please keep praying for Northern Ireland

Dear supporter,

In 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, Paul writes:

“Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

We can give thanks for the result in the case of Felix Ngole, who was helped by our friends at the Christian Legal Centre. Mr Ngole successfully challenged a university’s decision to dismiss him from a social work course just because he commented on Facebook that the Bible says homosexuality is a sin. The Court of Appeal criticised the university for attempting to introduce a blanket ban on freedom of speech, saying:

“The mere expression of views on theological grounds (e.g. that ‘homosexuality is a sin’) does not necessarily connote that the person expressing such views will discriminate on such grounds.”

This important ruling is good news for Christian freedom. We thank God for it.

Let’s continue to pray against plans by some MPs to impose abortion and same-sex marriage on Northern Ireland. The House of Commons is expected to discuss amendments to the devolution Bill tomorrow (Tuesday).

Please join us in urgently praying:

  • That the amendments will fail, and that respect will be shown for Northern Ireland's good laws on traditional marriage and the sanctity of life.
  • For politicians to speak up for what is right.

Yours in Christ,
Colin Hart
