SIGN ON to demand a vote on the Heroes Act
With small businesses and local governments running out of money,
and more than 38 million Americans having filed for unemployment
benefits in the last ten weeks, it is clear that Congress must
pass further COVID-19 relief legislation.
That’s why the Democratic House passed the Heroes Act this month
to provide much-needed support to everyday Americans, small
businesses, and local governments. Now, Senate Republicans won’t
come to the negotiating table to even consider this bill.
This isn’t right, William, and I need your help to pressure the Republican Senate
into taking action. Sign my petition now to demand that Senate
Republicans work with Democrats to pass another stimulus package.

The Heroes Act would provide $200 billion to ensure that
frontline workers across the country receive hazard pay,
including nurses, teachers, first responders, custodians,
sanitation workers, delivery and postal workers, firefighters,
police officers, and more. It would expand unemployment benefit
coverage and commit $75 billion toward doing what the science
recommends: testing, tracing, and treatment.
This bill includes another round of stimulus checks for
individuals and families, and strengthens the Payroll Protection
Program to ensure it reaches underserved communities. The Heroes
Act would also ensure that all voters are able to vote by mail in
this November’s election, and would provide $25 billion to help
rescue the U.S. Postal Service.
My House colleagues and I recognize that the American people need
urgent relief, William. That’s why we passed
this new stimulus bill, and now we need the Senate to follow
suit.
Sign your name now to demand that the Republican Senate put the
Heroes Act up for a vote. We must show the GOP that the American
people will not take no for an answer.
