Join us as we present the 2025 Conservative Book of the Year Award on March 19th, 2025 at our Linda L. Bean Center!

​​​​​​Winning the award for his book To Overthrow the World: The Rise and Fall and Rise of Communism is Sean McMeekin, who currently serves as the Francis Flournoy Professor of European History and Culture at Bard College.

Global politics bears the scars of communism's failures. Sean McMeekin's award-winning book delivers a compelling analysis of communism’s human toll, unveiling the profound gulf between its utopian aspirations and horrific realities.

To Overthrow the World: The Rise and Fall and Rise of Communism is a cautionary tale against the subtle encroachment of ideologies that actively undermine American liberty.

Join Us for the Award Ceremony:

The event will begin with a cocktail hour at 6 PM, followed by the award ceremony at 7 PM. Sean McMeekin will give his remarks, followed by a Q&A session.
