HB 215(No Use of AI for Rent Manipulation) would prohibit landlords from using AI technology to collude on setting rental prices in NM. This is an important way to protect renters in NM from further exploitation in the housing market. This bill has made its way to the House floor and could be voted on this week. Lastly, HB 339(Housing Discrimination and Human Rights Act) would ban source of Income discrimination in New Mexico. Santa Fe recently fought this battle against the landlords and their lobbyists and we believe all New Mexican deserve these same protections.
