Friend, People who work full time should not live in poverty, period. Unfortunately, Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans are refusing to hold a vote on the Raise the Wage Act, which would give 34 million Americans a raise and lift 1.3 million out of poverty. There is no reason that working people in the United State of America should have to hold down two or three jobs just to keep food on the table or a roof over their head. It’s not a radical idea. Americans are working harder now than they ever have before, but have less to show for it. Yvette was proud to vote in favor of the Raise the Wage Act, but now she needs your help in getting this bill across the finish line.
