In Wisconsin’s primary earlier this year, Republicans gave the rest of America a preview of their national election plan: deny extensions to vote-by-mail, refuse to recognize the special circumstances surrounding the vote this year, and force thousands of Americans to go to the polls in the middle of a pandemic.

Now, Democrats are fighting hard to make sure the GOP won’t get away with suppressing the vote or endangering the public come November. Governor Gretchen Whitmer sent absentee ballot applications to 7.7 million Michigan residents, and California Governor Gavin Newsom has ordered that every registered voter in the state receive a mail ballot -- no strings attached.

In response, the GOP is suing Newsom -- and Trump is threatening to withhold relief aid from Michigan if the state doesn’t bow to his will and surrender the right to vote by mail.

This is an unacceptable politicization of a health crisis, and a blatant attempt to steal the election by keeping voters from voting. With your help, it stops now.
