SEN. KATIE BRITT: Laken Riley Act our first step in ending era of open borders
– here's what's next

<[link removed]>

When President Donald Trump signed the Laken Riley Act into law last
Wednesday, it marked a new beginning for the United States – a new Golden Age
of America, as President Trump put it in his inaugural address.

In signing what was the most significant piece of immigration-enforcement
legislation to reach the Resolute Desk since 1996, President Trump signaled

Sen. Britt announces Senate Judiciary Subcommittee assignments

<[link removed]>

U.S. Senator Katie Britt, R-Ala., Wednesday announced her subcommittee
assignments on the Senate Judiciary Committee in the 119th Congress.

“I am honored to join the Border Security and Immigration and the Crime and
Counterterrorism Subcommittees. Both of these subcommittees will play a pivotal
role in making America safer. I’m looking forward to working with my colleagues
to build on the success of the Laken Riley Act with additional pieces of
legislation to strengthen border security and interior immigration enforcement,
including reducing the flow of deadly fentanyl into our country. I am committed
to fighting for America First policies to secure and defend our homeland while
giving our law enforcement officers the tools and resources to combat threats,”
said Senator Britt.

proudly joined as a co-sponsor of the Educational Choice for Children Act,
introduced by Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions
Chairman Bill Cassidy. This bill would empower millions of parents in Alabama
and across the country to access high-quality education that suits their
child’s unique needs, regardless of income or zip code.
