ICAN to Host California Forum on Ethnic Studies in Public Schools with Grassroots PartnersThe Israeli-American Civic Action Network (ICAN) is proud to announce the California Forum on Ethnic Studies in Public Schools, a live-streamed, online event taking place on Tuesday, February 25th at 8:00 PM. This forum builds on ICAN’s successful Combating Antisemitism Summits held in Los Angeles, California, and other jurisdictions over the past two years. The California Forum on Ethnic Studies in Public Schools is designed to provide a platform for students, parents, educators, and public officials to share their experiences and concerns about ethnic studies curricula, including critical issues related to California Education Code adherence, flawed policy frameworks, and oversight failures. The forum is co-hosted by grassroots parent and educator organizations from across the state, who have been actively gathering evidence and testimonies about pervasive discrimination and ideological biases being introduced into California classrooms through ethnic studies courses and educators. Members of the California State Senate and Assembly Legislative Education Committees are invited to attend and encouraged to actively participate in the forum’s proceedings. |
