Dadgummit! š¤
<[link removed]>
Thereās a lot thatās grinding my dadgum gears this week, folks.
First, we just spent $60 million
<[link removed]> to
eradicate a big rat. Ever heard of a nutria? Itās an invasive swamp rat found
in places like Louisianaāand now you get to foot the bill to deal with it. Iām
not saying itās not a problem or that it should be overlookedābut this
shouldnāt be up for debate in Congress, dadgummit. This is a state issue, but
because leadership is lazy and wonāt stand up against a wasteful use of our
time and money.
And speaking of rats, that wasnāt the only nonsense to come out of the D.C.
sewer this week. Get a load of this: Last year, $10 million in taxpayer money
went to creatingtransgender mice
<[link removed]>
, rats, and monkeys.
Read that again. $10 million of your hard-earned dollars went to DEI grants
that funded invasive surgeries and hormone therapies on lab animals at
universities across the country. I wish I was kidding, but itās all in the
receiptsāand Iāve had enough.
That said, I donāt want you heading into the weekend thinking itās all bad
news. President Trump continues to deliver on the many promises he made to the
American people, and this week, I was proud to be there when he signed an
executive orderending the war on womenās sports
<[link removed]>
.
Schools across the country are now on notice. If they violate Title IX, they
will be investigated, and if theyāre found guilty of bending the rules, their
federal funding will be ripped away. We wonāt let men beat and batter girls in
sports anymore. Weāre doing the right thing for our daughtersāand Iāll always
be proud to say I was on the right side of history on this one.
Thereās a lot on our America First to-do list, but Iām optimistic that weāll
get to all of it over the next four years. After all, weāve got a country to
save.
