In the midst of an unprecedented public health crisis, the Trump administration is pressing forward with their attempts to gut the Affordable Care Act. If they succeed, millions of Americans could lose their health care -- and the administration has not put out any replacement plan for this critical legislation.

There's no excuse for trying to dismantle the Affordable Care Act, especially right now. Even some of the President's closest advisors have said that a full repeal should not move forward during the coronavirus outbreak. Still, the Trump Administration is trying to repeal all ACA provisions, including protections for Americans with pre-existing conditions.

The need for broad access to quality, affordable health care has never been clearer. We're facing unprecedented challenges to our health care system right now, and the administration should be strengthening it instead of attempting to take away health care access and undermining protections for those with pre-existing conditions.
