Dear Advocates,

Yesterday I shared the wonderful news that the Montana State Legislature passed SB 136, a bill to close the dangerous legal loophole that allows assisted suicide to be practiced, at the second reading.

Today, I am sharing the even better news that SB 136 has successfully passed the third reading in the Senate in a vote of 29-20!! I am so proud of the Montana coalition and the hard work they have put in over the last two years to educate Montanans and legislators about this important legislation, and we are incredibly encouraged by today’s vote.

The work continues! SB 136 now moves to the House and we must continue to educate on the dangerous, discriminatory, and deadly practice of assisted suicide. To leave it unchecked in Montana is simply not an option.

If you live in Montana, or know someone who does, please use and pass along this form to contact your legislator!

Onward!

Jessica
