On February 14, 2000, First Star was founded with a mission rooted in love—the love of opportunity, education, and a brighter future for foster youth. Now, 25 years later, we are proud to celebrate a legacy of empowering young people through our Academies, mentorship, and advocacy.
As we mark this milestone, we are launching a special 25th Anniversary fundraising campaign celebrating the heart of First Star—our scholars, alumni, and the supporters who make this work possible. This year-long campaign will highlight the transformative impact of our programs, culminating in a special celebration in October 2025.
