Republicans in states like Florida and North Carolina are pushing new laws to allow people to carry a firearm WITHOUT a permit.
This dangerous, irresponsible legislation cannot slip under the radar.
Requiring a permit to carry a firearm is LITERALLY the bare minimum gun safety policy that we have.
Permitless carry is a gateway to an increase in gun violence. When Arizona repealed its concealed carry requirement in 2010, there was an 11% increase in gun injuries and deaths.
These politicians are endangering the lives of young people. We refuse to allow more young people to die because politicians care more about gun industry profit than our lives.
The belief that an increase in gun ownership will reduce crime is nothing more than a myth. It’s simply an excuse to boost the NRA's agenda.
