Common sense? My opponent thinks it’s “common sense” to make it easier for Donald Trump to fire Virginians.

She is backing President Trump’s “Schedule F” executive order, which makes it easier to fire federal workers and turn their positions into political appointee roles. Virginia is home to thousands of federal employees – nonpartisan professionals who have devoted their careers to serving our country but now have a target on their backs for no reason at all.

This dangerous policy not just jeopardizes the jobs and well-being of our Virginia communities and their families — the President is putting political loyalty ahead of the expertise and impartiality needed in some of our nation's most important positions.

As I’ve traveled across Virginia, I’ve heard from federal employees, small business owners, and Virginia leaders directly who share my concern about the devastating impact Schedule F could have on our workforce and economy.

Virginians deserve a Governor who stands up for them and protects their livelihoods, not someone who puts partisan politics above the future of our economy.
