Dear friend,
Each year that we do this work, we push for stronger protections to keep America’s students safe. We introduce bills, advocate for critical reforms, and work alongside leaders at every level to ensure school safety remains a priority. And preserving efforts like the Federal School Safety Clearinghouse External Advisory Board is a key part of that mission.
This advisory board—created as part of the Luke and Alex School Safety bill and passed as part of the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act (BSCA)—brings together school safety experts, advocates, and parents like us to advise federal agencies on best practices. It’s a critical tool in making sure schools have the resources and guidance they need to prevent tragedies before they happen.
As we approach the seventh commemoration of the horrific act of mass violence that took our loved ones, we’re reminded why this work matters. We need to make sure we have the resources to continue advocating for essential protections across America’s schools. Your support today will help us build on the progress we’ve made and ensure that school safety remains a national priority.
