Louisiana’s permitless carry law will allow anyone 18+ to carry a loaded, concealed gun without a permit around the Super Bowl festivities this Sunday. More guns make us all less safe, friend, and what’s worse is that lawmakers in Congress want to pass a “Concealed Carry Reciprocity” law that would mean no matter the state’s law, nearly anyone could carry a loaded, concealed weapons across state lines.
The threat of guns at Super Bowl Sunday is just the latest example of the danger that a ‘guns everywhere’ agenda poses to everyday Americans. Will you speak out against deadly “Concealed Carry Reciprocity” today, friend?

Friend,
The Super Bowl is one of those uniquely American traditions that touches the lives of most Americans, but amidst jubilation, the threat of gun violence still looms, and this year, people will be allowed to carry loaded weapons around the stadium.
Last year’s Super Bowl celebrations were marred by tragedy when a gunman opened fire on the Kansas City Chiefs’ victory parade and killed one person and injured 22 others. We should know better than to allow guns to once again threaten our collective joy…
But, thanks to a law passed by the Louisiana state legislature last year, anyone 18 and older can carry a gun without permit or training. Cities across the state – including New Orleans, where the Super Bowl will be held this year – have been powerless to find a solution to stop people from carrying concealed weapons.

Guns may be banned in the stadium, but Louisiana’s permitless carry law means police cannot so much as even check people’s permits to see if they are legally armed.
American traditions have become inextricably linked to the uniquely American epidemic of gun violence. And the truth is, no celebration in the United States will ever be safe from the threat of gun violence until we finally do something to stop the violence and bloodshed.
|
Unfortunately, gun lobby-backed lawmakers in Congress have introduced legislation that does just the opposite: They want to make permitless carry the law of the land and allow anyone to carry a loaded, concealed weapon, anywhere, regardless of the state’s laws. And President Trump has promised to sign this dangerous legislation despite the fact that concealed carry is proven to increase gun violence.
|
Concealed Carry Reciprocity is the opposite of what our country needs, friend, and we must speak out against it. Will you send an urgent message to Congress and show them that Americans don’t want more loaded, concealed weapons in public?
