Thirteen Senate Confirmations! That’s more than 2017 Trump and 2021 Sleepy Joe Biden had by this point COMBINED. I've been saying we're pedal to the metal, but at this rate our foot is through the floorboard. This week, we confirmed Eric Scott Turner to be Secretary for Housing and Urban Development, Russell Vought to be Director of the White House Office of Management and Budget–my Democrat Senate colleagues threw a big fit over this one in case you missed it–Doug Collins to be Secretary of Veterans Affairs, Pam Bondi to be Attorney General, and Chris Wright to be Secretary of Energy. That's five confirmations in four days!
Next week we're back at it again. While Senate Democrats continue to kick and scream, we'll put ours heads down and ignore the noise to deliver Trump's team.
Recently, I joined U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) and 39 of our Senate GOP colleagues in reintroducing the Fair Access to Banking Act. This legislation penalizes banks and credit unions with over $10 billion in total consolidated assets, or their subsidiaries, if they refuse to do business with any legally compliant, credit-worthy person. It also prevents payment card networks from discriminating against any qualified person because of political or reputational considerations. Your Constitutional rights shouldn't impact your freedom in finances.

My Democrat Senate colleagues are acting like a bunch of spoiled brats who were never disciplined as children. They're doing everything in their power to hold up nominees before they come to the floor. Many important ones are stalled by these tactics. However, there's no tactic that ends with their success. What's unfortunate is their selfishness as these delays threaten Americans' safety, food security, health, and national security. We can do this the easy way, or the hard way. Though the Democrat have chosen the latter, it won't stop the Senate GOP from wrapping up President Trump's cabinet. Which we're already at a record pace to do. Listen to me break it down.
