The Trump administration boldly abandoned our responsibilities to the
world when it pulled the U.S. out of the Paris Climate Agreement.

This decision was not just an attack on our planet, it was an attack on
vulnerable communities — particularly the Global South. These communities
have contributed the least to the climate crisis, yet they’re already
bearing its worst impacts.

Now more than ever, it’s crucial for all of us to step up and do what the
federal government won’t. Our local governments must take up the mantle to
protect our climate and ensure future generations have a livable world.
