richest men in the world—was handed special access to the U.S. Treasury’s
payment system. That means he now has his hands on the financial
infrastructure that processes nearly $6 trillion in payments.

You can bet that I’m fighting back. A couple days ago, my colleagues and I
moved to subpoena Elon Musk—an unelected billionaire with massive
conflicts of interest, a personal vendetta against his so-called enemies,
and access to our most sensitive financial systems. But Republicans
blocked it. Who are they protecting? Because it sure isn’t the American
people.
