Last night, Senators Susan Collins (ME), Thom Tillis (NC), Dan Sullivan
(AK), Jon Husted (OH), Joni Ernst (IA), and all 48 of their Republican
allies voted to confirm Project 2025 author Russell Vought -- one of the
architects of the Trump-Musk coup. 

* They ignored 1,600 calls per minute pouring into senate offices
(source: Republican Lisa Murkowski).
* They ignored hundreds of thousands of emails from the people they work
for (you).
* They ignored more than 250 visits by their constituents around the
nation (and counting), like the [ [link removed] ]one with hundreds of people hosted
by Wake County Indivisible outside of Tillis’ Raleigh office.
* They ignored the chaos, confusion, and corruption perpetrated by Trump
and Elon Musk.

Newsflash: Coups don’t happen without enablers. They happen because
senators like Collins, Tillis, Sullivan, Husted, and Ernst let them. 

In just the last week, these Republican senators have stood by as Trump
and Musk illegally shuttered USAID to cut off life-saving aid, fired
federal officials like the FCC commissioner to consolidate power, and
froze critical payments to nursing homes, leaving vulnerable Americans to
suffer. Musk’s minions (muskrats?) have raided federal agencies, looting
data and resources to serve billionaire interests while dismantling the
programs that serve as a lifeline to millions of Americans. 

This is the Trump-Musk-Vought blueprint: Hollowing out democracy to build
a playground for oligarchs while everyone else pays the price. And
Republican senators like Collins, Tillis, Sullivan, Ernst, and Husted are
their enablers, rubber-stamping every move.

They think they can get away with it. They think we’ll forget. They think
this shameless betrayal of the people they work for will go unanswered.

But here’s what they didn’t expect: Today, we’re launching the Payback
Project, a new campaign to hold these Republicans accountable for every
piece of the Project 2025 agenda that Trump, Musk, and Vought are able to
implement due to their complicity.

calls per minute. We’re funneling that energy into local Indivisible
groups in Maine, North Carolina, Alaska, Iowa, and Kansas -- states where
these enablers are most vulnerable.

☑️ Building the anti-coup majority: Turning on our
canvassing-meets-relational-organizing tool to get voters on the ground
talking to their neighbors about every corrupt vote these senators cast
more than a year before a single door is knocked in a traditional
get-out-the-vote operation. Launching earned media campaigns to spotlight
their complicity and bring more people into our winning coalition. Keeping
up constant pressure to remind voters who these senators really work for
(hint: it’s not them).

☑️ Fighting chaos with organizing: Every bad vote, every betrayal -- they
won’t go unanswered. From rapid response actions to digital takedowns,
we’ll make sure their corruption is exposed at every turn on their home
turf to maximize public visibility and outrage and pull more people into
our winning coalition.

We’ve done this before. In 2018, we built the Blue Wave. We mobilized
millions. We flipped seats no one thought were flippable. And this time?
It’s going to be even bigger -- because it has to be.

But real talk: Fighting back against billionaires, corrupt senators, and a
coup-for-profit machine takes resources. It takes grassroots power. It

The Trump-Musk takeover thrives on chaos, corruption, and confusion. But
we’re not going to let them get away with it. We’re turning the tide.
We’re exposing the truth. And we’re turning these senators into a
cautionary tale for every politician who dares to put billionaires over
democracy.

Let’s make them regret every vote, every betrayal, and every second they
choose Musk and Trump over us (there are more key votes coming, and we’re
keeping up the pressure). Let’s make them answer for every provision of
Project 2025 that comes to pass. And come November of next year, let’s
replace them.
