We are less than two months away from one of the most exciting events in the country for young activists, the National Young Feminist Leadership Conference!
NYFLC hosts hundreds of high school and college students for an unforgettable weekend in Arlington, Virginia, right outside of Washington D.C., from March 29th to March 31st.
This year's NYFLC will be full of plenty of opportunities to hear from incredible feminist trailblazers (including DC's own Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton!), discuss strategies, and meet other fellow student activists. We’ll talk about reproductive justice, LGBTQ+ advocacy, the Equal Rights Amendment, ending global gender apartheid, and other critical topics. |
But don't just take my word for it. Here’s what past attendees had to say about last year’s conference: |
“At NYFLC, you are able to be around real change makers -- activists, organizers, and leaders who are on the frontlines of the fight for gender equality, reproductive rights, and social justice. If that’s not feminist and powerful, I don’t know what is!" Jaharra Anglin Stubbs, Colgate University |
"I had such an incredible time attending NYFLC. Being surrounded by such passionate, strong and astonishing leaders was deeply inspiring. The knowledge I took away from the array of panels offered throughout the weekend is still impacting my activism today and I am really looking forward to attending again this year." Hannah Irvine, Cornell University |
"During my time attending NYFLC, I learned so much about the importance of bringing the values of feminism back to my community. From learning about abortion rights to speaking with doctors about contraceptive access, I gained so many valuable resources and met some amazing people along the way!" Gwen Comai, University of Michigan |
Students will learn about current issues and gain new strategies and tactics to mobilize for feminist issues on their campuses and in their communities. They'll come together in regional caucuses to connect and share ideas. Then, after a weekend of learning, strategizing, and growing, we’ll head to Capitol Hill to turn our convictions into action and meet with lawmakers and legislative aides from students' home states and districts.
Early bird registration is $35 for individuals and $30 for groups of 5 or more, and the conference hotel is offering discounted rates to NYFLC attendees. You can find all the details you need here.
Pass this message along to feminist students you know and register now for an action-packed weekend! |
