Elon Musk’s “Department of Government Efficiency” (DOGE) has had a busy week. Since Monday, Musk and his team that includes recent high school graduates (without background checks) have gained access to highly restricted government records on millions of federal employees. They’ve also gained access to key data systems within the Department of Health and Human Services, including Medicare and Medicaid records.
Our movement to oppose Musk and his villainy is making headway. A federal judge recently ordered limits on DOGE staffers’ access to records in the Treasury Department’s payment system. This win will help protect the privacy of millions of Americans.
It’s a start, but we have to keep the pressure on to stop Elon and DOGE’s rampage against the federal government. As Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.) said this week, “an unelected, unaccountable billionaire with expansive conflicts of interest, deep ties to China, and an indiscreet ax to grind against perceived enemies is hijacking our nation’s most sensitive data.”

It’s only been two weeks since Trump returned to the White House, but his “advisor” Elon Musk has already seized control of major government agencies – and he’s tearing them apart from the inside.
At the stroke of Trump’s pen, the newly created “Department of Government Efficiency” (DOGE) has begun its aggressive restructuring of federal agencies, taking control of critical institutions like the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). Under Musk’s control, DOGE is impeding oversight, sidelining career experts, and handing unprecedented power to unelected operatives loyal to his corporate interests.
Musk’s so-called “efficiency reforms” are nothing more than a hostile takeover of our democracy. Under his direction:

🚨 Unqualified cronies are replacing experienced civil servants. Musk has appointed a group of sycophants, including recent high school graduates and personal allies, to oversee billion-dollar programs. Career professionals are being purged while the government is run like a rogue Silicon Valley startup.
This is not the normal churn of a new administration. This is a full-scale coup by a hostile billionaire, and the consequences are chilling.
