Email from Winning For Women, Inc. The latest on what's happening with right-of-center women   Weekly Wrap February 7, 2025 This Week's Highlights   WFW Team Grows! Exciting news at Winning For Women! We have expanded our team to help grow and defend our conservative majorities in the House and Senate in 2026. We are thrilled that Meredith Allen Dellinger has joined our team as our new Executive Director to lead candidate and political strategy. We are also excited that Danielle Barrow has been elevated to President, where she’ll focus on organizational growth and leadership as we continue to broaden our impact. Dem Donors Fund $50M Effort The leading House Democratic super PAC announced a $50 million effort "to better appeal to working-class voters...who all across the country drifted away from the party in 2024." The group's initial 14 targets include three GOP women in battleground districts: Reps. Mariannette Miller-Meeks (IA-01), Monica De La Cruz (TX-15), and Jen Kiggans (VA-02). For House Republicans' part, GOP leaders are projecting confidence about the 2026 battleground map. NRCC Chairman Richard Hudson argues that the math is in Republicans' favor, noting that 13 House Democrats won re-election in districts President Trump carried in 2024, making them prime targets in 2026. By contrast, only three House Republicans hold seats that Kamala Harris carried. "Political Corruption" House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries is currently scheming with Democrats in Albany in an attempt to keep Rep. Elise Stefanik's (NY-21) seat open until June --and potentially even November. New York State law requires Gov. Kathy Hochul to schedule a special election to fill the seat within about three months of Stefanik's resignation, but the Democrat-controlled legislature is discussing a change in the law to force a delay. Speaker Mike Johnson called the maneuver "an open display of political corruption.” Rep. Mike Lawler (NY-17) blasted Democrats, as well: "These are the same people that lecture everybody about protecting democracy but have no problem subverting democracy when it suits their needs." Bondi Confirmed On Tuesday, the Senate voted to confirm Pam Bondi as U.S. attorney general, making her the nation's top prosecutor at the Department of Justice. Bondi is a longtime prosecutor and former Florida attorney general. Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) broke with his party and supported Bondi, which made her confirmation vote bipartisan.   In The News   The Center Square: Trump signs executive order banning males from female sports E&E News: Agriculture pick Brooke Rollins wins unanimous committee vote Axios: How Tulsi Gabbard's nomination came roaring back to life KVAL: Confirmation hearing for Oregon's Chavez-DeRemer as Labor Secretary scheduled for Feb 12 Daily Caller: Education Groups Say Linda McMahon’s Confirmation Is Essential To Overhaul ‘Years Of Incompetence’ At Dept The Minnesota Star Tribune: Who is Republican Lisa Demuth, Minnesota’s first House speaker of color?     Stay up to date on the latest by following us on our socials.
