Women are losing the sports gender battle. Let's
help them win the war. | This week, we celebrated National Girls and
Women in Sports Day! I am reminded of the tremendous contributions
women have made to the athletic world, and the opportunities Title IX
offered my own daughter, and little girls across the country. Sports
teach us the value of commitment, resilience, and integrity; however,
growing threats challenge the very foundation of women’s sports.
Female athletes know that when they step onto the court, field, or
track, they are entering a battle. Their jerseys are their armor, and
the ball is their ammunition. But for many women, winning that battle
becomes impossible when their opponent is a larger, stronger male.
This reality was starkly illustrated by the University of Wyoming
women’s volleyball team, who were faced with the difficult
decision of whether to forfeit matches against San Jose State
University because their opponent’s roster included a male
player. That player has the strength on the court to pose a serious
safety risk. The Wyoming Cowgirls made the courageous decision to
forfeit, prioritizing their safety over the competition. Their
sacrifice highlighted a larger issue facing women’s sports
across the country. I joined Riley Gaines in writing an op-ed,
advocating to preserve women’s rights to a fair playing field in
their sport. The atrocity of men competing in women’s
sports and violating the safety and security of women’s spaces
is the women’s rights issue of our time. Women fought for years
for Title IX protections to give us an equal opportunity in sports.
Ironically, in the name of equality and under the guise of "progress,"
Democrats are helping men erase everything that women fought for. But
this sex-based discrimination isn’t progressive; it's deeply
regressive and utterly misogynistic. Republicans
are fighting for women and girls everywhere. I joined President Trump
at the White House to sign the Keeping Men Out of Women's
Sports executive order, and I am leading my Senate Republican
colleagues in passing the Protection of Women and Girls in
Sports Act. We owe it to little girls throughout Wyoming
with dreams of being a UW Cowgirl, and I am proud to stand on the
right side of history. Happy Trails,

Senator Lummis' Week in
Pictures | I joined the president at the
White House for the signing of the "Keeping Men Out of Women's Sports"
Executive Order. I am so proud to champion legislation that protects
little girls across America. I grew up before Title IX but am so
grateful that my daughter was able to have athletic opportunities
thanks to Title IX protections. President Trump is restoring integrity
in women’s sports and standing up for our right to fair
play. I met with Pam Bondi, President
Trump’s pick for Attorney General. I have no doubt the
weaponization of the justice system will end with her. She
is fierce and a fighter, and the right fit for the job. Great to meet
with the future AG! I joined my Western Caucus
colleagues for a press conference, laying out our legislative
priorities for the 119th Congress. President Trump promised
to unleash American energy, and Congress is going to help make it
happen. | Legislative Actions | I introduced the Grizzly Bear
State Management Act to shift grizzly bear management to the
states. The Endangered Species Act is broken beyond repair, and the
Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem Grizzly is the perfect example.
Western states have proven track records of effectively managing their
wildlife populations, and returning grizzly responsibility back to the
local level ensures ignorant Washington bureaucrats keep their paws
off of state matters. I joined Senators Bill Hagerty, Kirsten
Gillibrand, and Tim Scott to introduce legislation that would protect
Wyoming’s regulatory framework for digital assets, and ensures
stablecoin issuers have a real choice when it comes to a state or
national charter. Creating a bipartisan regulatory framework
for stablecoins is critical to maintaining America’s dollar
dominance and promoting responsible financial innovation,
and I am proud to introduce the Guiding and Establishing National
Innovation for U.S. Stablecoins (GENIUS) Act to establish a clear
regulatory framework for payment stablecoins. In January, we
celebrated School Choice Week, and I reaffirmed my commitment to
educational freedom in the Cowboy State. Along with Senator Bill
Cassidy, I introduced with the Educational Choice for
Children Act, a bipartisan bill to expand education freedom and
student opportunity. It offers a charitable donation incentive for
individuals and businesses to fund scholarships for K-12 public and
private education expenses.A child’s zip code should not dictate
their quality of education, and I am proud to cosponsor this
legislation ensuring Wyoming’s future leaders, regardless of
their educational needs, are set up for success. I also
secured key Environment and Public Works subcommittee memberships,
including chairing the Clean Air, Climate, Nuclear Innovation and
Safety subcommittee. Thanks to my position on the Environment and
Public Works committee, I can deliver crucial results for the people
of Wyoming. Wyoming continues to develop its traditional energy sector
while investing in new and exciting nuclear technology. I look
forward to advancing policies that benefit an all-of-the-above energy
approach and spur development across the Cowboy State. I will
also serve on the Transportation and Infrastructure and the Fisheries,
Water, and Wildlife subcommittees. For over four decades, the
Congressional Award has inspired young Americans nationwide to
dedicate their lives to bettering themselves and their communities. I
introduced the Congressional Award Program Reauthorization
Act, which would reauthorize the Congressional Award Program. The
program is an incredibly high honor for citizens aged 14 to 23 and is
authorized by Congress every five years. The program encourages young
Americans to pursue goals focused on volunteerism, character
development, and fitness. This tradition was first established in 1979
by Wyoming Senator Malcolm Wallop, and since then, it has empowered
generations of leaders and world-shakers. It is my honor to continue
this program that has had such a profound impact on our nation.

Wyoming
Shoutout | A big shoutout to the Child Development Center of
Natrona County (CDC) for being honored with the prestigious Daniels
Fund Medal of Excellence at the second annual Salute to Excellence
event in Denver! The CDC, based in Casper, Wyoming, was recognized for
its incredible impact on children and families through a wide range of
services, including therapy for children with special needs, reading
coaching, and audiology support. The $250,000 award reflects the
dedication and innovation of their team, who serve around 700 children
daily, ensuring every child in Wyoming has the opportunity to grow,
dream, and thrive. A well-deserved honor for an organization that
truly makes a difference in the lives of Wyoming’s youth!
