Legislative Update
As you may have heard, a deal was reached between House GOP and DFL leadership this Wednesday evening. There are many opinions about the provisions of this organizational agreement, but the bottom line is that Democrats are back at work, the Speaker of the House will be Lisa Demuth for the next two years, and our Fraud and Oversight Committee will be GOP chaired for two years. For the people of Minnesota, this is a win, because we are back to being able to work for Minnesotans.
Fraud Committee
One of our greatest priorities is rooting out fraud, waste, and abuse in Minnesota. Over the past weeks and months, insane amounts of fraud have been uncovered from the last 6 years particularly under the Walz administration. That's why we have created the Fraud and Oversight Committee, which is going to have its first meeting on Monday morning. It's time for us to take a serious look at where Minnesota tax dollars are going and put this fraud to an end.
