Team, I was on MSNBC sharing my concern about Elon Musk’s involvement in our federal government.

When the United States Constitution was written by our founding fathers, they created three branches of government: the legislative branch, executive branch, and judicial branch. This system of checks and balances was created so that no branch of government would hold too much power over the American people.

Our job in Congress is to make sure we are checking and keeping our government in balance.

I want you to ask yourself this today: Do you want Elon Musk and his minions to have your personal medical information like your weight, the prescriptions you take, or the last time you got a colonoscopy? I know I don’t.

Elon Musk was not elected by the people, yet President Trump gave him access to Americans’ most sensitive data, including tax documents, social security numbers, banking information, and medical records. Think about how Musk could use this information to further enrich himself. It's scary, wrong, and unconstitutional.

That’s why members of Congress introduced the Taxpayer Data Protection Act this week to stop Musk's unfettered access to sensitive personal information.

I’m a fighter for Michigan and the American people. I am going to continue to stand up to Republicans and protect the people of my district, Michiganders, and the American people.

I need your support to keep fighting. Will you make a contribution to fuel my work in Congress? There’s a lot on the line right now, Team and we need to continue to speak up and fight back.
