Elections have consequences. As our reproductive rights bear the brunt of these consequences, our ability to fight back often boils down to resources: information, funds, and helping hands.
If these resources didn’t matter, Republicans wouldn’t be working so hard to take them away. As soon as the new Presidential administration was sworn in, they shut down ReproductiveRights.gov, a White House-sponsored website with free, accurate, possibly life-saving information on contraception and abortion care. The confiscation of such resources is one step further in restricting our right to autonomy, and the women most negatively impacted by this decision are those who live in states like Florida, where abortion is all but banned.
John, I’m asking you to keep fighting because I believe that if we keep the faith, we can win. To get the resources and information that we have a right to back in our hands, we need women on the front lines advocating for us. Can you chip in today to help us recruit, train, and elect strong women leaders who will put our rights and our healthcare first?
