Celebrating Black History Month

This Black History Month, I am reflecting on the invaluable contributions of Black Americans to our nation. Their extraordinary achievements have helped shape a resilient, fair society and continue to inspire progress.

Throughout this month, I will be recognizing the remarkable milestones of black history made right here in Illinois. These accomplishments can never be forgotten.

Fighting the Unlawful Trump-Musk Agenda

The Trump administration's extreme actions have caused widespread disarray across our country. The American people did not elect Elon Musk, and his infiltration of our government systems cannot be allowed to continue.

I am fighting at every turn to ensure that this administration's unconstitutional actions are stopped through legislation, legal challenges, and outright support of the American people.

Visiting the GE Healthcare Headquarters

This week, I visited the GE Healthcare headquarters in Chicago to discuss health inequities and potential solutions. I am hopeful about this new partnership to address the underrepresented communities facing disproportionate health challenges.

One of my biggest priorities in Congress is to eliminate healthcare disparities and ensure every American has access to affordable healthcare — regardless of zip code, skin color, or gender. I am committed to combating healthcare barriers that perpetuate cycles of inequality affecting all Americans.
