Dear Global Labor Justice Allies,

Yesterday Teen Vogue brought the voices of worker activists from our Fight the Heist campaign to millions of young readers.

“When I learned that Nike made record profits during those years of so much suffering, I was determined to fight back…Many of us have been silent because we’re afraid of getting fired. But I broke through and I want to show others they can speak up too.”

- Siti Nursyafitri, Serikat Pekerja Nasional (SPN), Indonesia

“I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished so far. I’m determined to keep working and fighting for a brighter future for my daughter, and my coworkers.”

This important article features five members of the fast-growing garment worker activist committee organized by Asia Floor Wage Alliance’s partner unions in five countries: Indonesia, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and India.

Nike and other big fashion brands have built a business model that depends on young women workers like Nursya, Ratna, Sinuon, Sonia and Sakinah remaining invisible - but now over 1,000 workers are coming forward publicly for the first time with a message to Nike!

These workers know the risk of standing up to powerful companies and authoritarian systems, yet they are coming out of the shadows like never before to demand that Nike transform its supply chain to protect workers’ human rights and pay living wages.

Please sign the pledge to share a message to Nike with 1,000 photos of garment workers in March 2025. And ask members of your organization to take the pledge too! Together, we will make sure more than 1,000 people across the US share the image, tagging key people in and around Nike.

Together we can bring garment workers’ voices and faces to Nike’s doorstep.
