Hey John,
These past few weeks have brought great harm to young Black people, especially young Black women and LGBTQ+ folks. In addition to the President's racist, homophobic, anti-science and anti-education orders, HIV funding is once again under attack. But we've fought this battle before and won. Our petition has a goal of 4,000 signatures, sign it now to tell Congress to Save HIV Funding. Congress is once again proposing over $700M in cuts to HIV funding, including the complete elimination of the Ending the HIV Epidemic Initiative (EHE) a bipartisan effort to end HIV in the U.S. by 2030.
These cuts would be devastating, particularly for Black communities, which continue to be disproportionately affected by HIV. Black people account for 38% of new HIV diagnoses but only 14% of PrEP users. Slashing funding will only widen these disparities, increase new HIV cases, and drive up healthcare costs.
We can’t let this happen. National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (February 7th) is a key moment to raise visibility and demand that Congress #SaveHIVFunding.
How You Can Help:

These proposed cuts put lives at risk. Let’s make sure Congress hears us loud and clear.
