Trump Seeks to “Eradicate Anti-Christian Bias” |
Donald Trump announced plans Thursday to establish a task force and a presidential commission to protect Christians from religious discrimination. It will aim to stop “all forms of anti-Christian targeting and discrimination within the federal government.”
“While I’m in the White House, we will protect Christians in our schools, in our military, in our government, in our workplaces, hospitals and in our public squares,” the president said while addressing the National Prayer Breakfast. “And we will bring our country back together as one nation under God.”
It was easy to miss if you weren’t paying attention, but the Biden administration really did put Christianity under attack. It used force to prevent mass worship, supported the arrests of anti-abortion grandmothers, funded the killing of Middle Eastern believers, and backed an Eastern European government that banned a Christian denomination because it didn’t like its politics.
But remember, the former president is a “devout Catholic.” Read more about Trump's announcement here. |
NCAA Bans Men from Women’s Sports |
Does this look fair to you?
|
Thanks to Donald Trump, it won’t be allowed to happen anymore.
The NCAA officially changed its “gender policies” on Thursday, banning men from competing in collegiate women’s sports. “A student-athlete assigned male at birth may not compete on a women’s team,” the new policy reads, although women are still permitted to compete on men’s teams.
Previously, the NCAA allowed men to compete in the women’s category after undergoing at least one year of testosterone suppression treatment. That’s what led to images like the one above. Read more.

Unhinged Lawmaker Reacts to Trump Win by Sterilizing Herself |
As one of American political history’s most polarizing figures, Donald Trump tends to elicit some pretty intense behavior.
Those who love him will spend hours in the freezing cold for a chance to get into a MAGA rally. Those who don’t tend to take drastic measures of their own.
Allow us to introduce you to Laurie Pohutsky. A liberal Michigan state representative, Pohutsky sees herself as an important figure in the resistance movement against America’s leader. It’s easy to imagine her screaming “No Trump, no KKK, no fascist USA!” outside the White House or going on The View to decry Elon Musk as a Nazi. She is very committed to opposing the president.
Don’t believe us? Get this: Pohutsky recently announced that she underwent sterilization surgery in response to Trump’s November victory.
Why would she do that? Read about her rationale here.

White House Cracks Down on Sanctuary Cities |
Defunding sanctuary cities is one of the most common-sense proposals circulating in America’s national conversation. If rogue local governments deliberately ignore federal law, then of course they shouldn’t receive Washington’s generous funding.
The Trump administration is laying the groundwork for that idea to finally be realized. This week, Attorney General Pam Bondi issued a memo ordering the DOJ to stop administering federal grants to localities that refuse to cooperate with ICE.
“Sanctuary jurisdictions should not receive access to federal grants administered by the Department of Justice,” it reads.
The administration also sued Chicago on Thursday for using its sanctuary policies to thwart federal efforts to enforce immigration laws.

“You Have No Business Doing That!: Stephen A. Smith Blasts Trump’s Gaza Plan |
Stephen A. Smith hammered Donald Trump’s “utterly ridiculous” Gaza occupation vision earlier this week, saying he became “incredibly alarmed” after watching the president’s Tuesday press conference with Benjamin Netanyahu.
“He sounded like he was looking to build Trump casinos or Trump hotels or whatever the hell else he’s trying to come up with,” Smith said during a segment of his online show. “It was utterly ridiculous and I’m going to say that right now, plain and simple.”
“But when I saw this president speak last night as if he was in the process of facilitating a business deal, that is where my antennas went up, and I became incredibly alarmed. You have no business doing that,” he added.
Whether Trump’s proposal represents his genuine vision for the future of the Israel/Palestine conflict or is part of a larger negotiation game remains to be seen.

Lowering the Drinking Age? |
There’s something weird about the fact that 20-year-old Americans are allowed to die in neocon war projects but may not go to the gas station and buy a Coors Light. But that could be changing.
An Illinois state representative is proposing a bill to lower the state’s drinking age from 21 to 18, amending the Liquor Control Act of 1934 to permit all adults to purchase the beverages of their choice. Read more. |
Fetterman Warns Against Democrat Extremism |
John Fetterman cautioned Democrats against continuing the Biden and Harris campaigns’ extreme rhetoric this week, warning that the party could lose white men forever if it doesn’t reverse course.
“I think their primary currency was shaming and scolding and talking down to people and telling them, ‘Hey, I know better than you,’ or ‘you’re dopes,’ or ‘you’re a bro,’ or ‘you’re ignorant,’ or, you know, ‘How can you be this dumb? I can’t imagine it,'” Fetterman said.
He also decried his party for labeling the other side Nazis and fascists, saying “When you’re in a state like Pennsylvania, like I know and I love people that voted for Trump, and they’re not fascists.”
The extent to which Democrats spent the last campaign insulting the other side should serve as a lesson for all future aspiring officeholders. Demeaning people is not a good way to get them to support you.

Sit Down, Volodymyr. It’s Time for a Talk. |
In a way, Volodymyr Zelensky deserves some credit. Unlike most American leaders, he definitely knows how to advocate for his own interests. There’s no better example than his declaration this week. As we reported yesterday, he recently said that if the U.S. cannot guarantee his country a quick path toward NATO membership, then he would accept nuclear armament as a consolation prize.
Read that one more time. Both possibilities are essentially the same thing. If the first happens, Ukraine officially joins the West’s outdated anti-Russia alliance and receives its nuclear weapons. That means Russia would share a border with a nuclear-armed, U.S.-backed adversary, which it understandably sees as unacceptable. The second unfolding would have the exact same outcome. Ukraine gets nukes, and the best-case scenario is that its war with Russia drags on as it has for three years. Worst case is extinction. All of that is avoidable. Zelensky can shout whatever demands he wants, but his fate ultimately lies with Donald Trump. Like Israel, Zelensky’s country is cripplingly dependent on American taxpayer funding for its war to continue. The U.S. president threatening to pull it could be the only way to achieve meaningful change that leads to peace.
It’s time to give the Ukrainian leader some sobering news: the jig is up. America’s new priority must be ending Eastern Europe’s bloodshed, not continuing the Biden doctrine of prolonging it for as long as it takes. If that requires Zelensky to make concessions, like God forbid forfeiting his ability to join NATO or suddenly acquire a nuclear arsenal, then so be it. It’s time for the violence to end.

February 7, 1845: A drunk British Museum visitor shatters the Portland Vase, a Roman glass treasure believed to be over 2,000 years old. The culprit, a young Dubliner named William Lloyd, admitted he had been “indulging in intemperance for a week before” his destructive act after the deed was done. He quickly received a £3 fine, which he did not pay. Conservator and ceramics expert Nigel Williams restored the piece 144 years later. |
