Friends,

There is no question that we have a grave problem with hate crimes in our country.

After the domestic terror attack in El Paso and the countless others that have come before it, our congressional delegation in New Hampshire has taken steps to ensure our communities are safer.

We’ve secured $150,000 in grants that will be used to help protect places of worship in our state including four churches, two temples, and a chabad. Additionally the State Homeland Security Program has awarded us over $4 million to be used to prevent acts of terrorism and increase preparedness in the case of an attack.

Keeping our communities safe has been one of my top priorities, and I will continue advocating for policies and programs that do just that.

We have so much work to do to prevent senseless violence from finding its way into our places of worship, schools, shopping malls, movie theaters, and streets -- and this is one step in the right direction.

I won’t stop fighting and doing what’s best for Granite Staters.

Thank you,
Chris
