Good news to share from the Capitol: The House officially came to order today after House Republicans successfully negotiated an organizational agreement that secures strong Republican leadership for the next two years.

I am honored to serve as Speaker for the full term, providing stability and a steady hand as we work to deliver on our promises of fiscal responsibility, public safety, and government accountability.

One of our biggest victories is the creation of an empowered Fraud and Agency Oversight Committee—giving us a powerful tool to root out waste, fraud, and abuse in state government that has festered under Governor Walz. Minnesotans are tired of bloated bureaucracies and mismanaged taxpayer dollars, and this committee will shine a light on where government has failed and ensure agencies are held accountable.

This agreement puts Republicans in a strong position to fight for lower taxes, fewer burdensome regulations, and stronger support for families, farmers, and small businesses. House Republicans are ready to lead, and this agreement ensures we will have the ability to set the agenda and push for policies that put Minnesotans first.
