NJ .COM: No House Democrat … worked with Republicans on legislation more often than North Jersey Rep. Josh Gottheimer.

Wall Street Josh took millions from the financial services industry, then worked with Republicans to bail out payday lenders and gut Dodd-Frank.

Dr. Arati Kreibich is running to defeat Gottheimer. Fight for Wall Street reform and donate to Arati’s campaign today!

The American Prospect reports how conservative Democrat Rep. Josh Gottheimer serves Wall Street in Congress:

[Rep. Josh Gottheimer] came out in favor of a bailout of predatory payday lenders … any close watcher of Gottheimer, a member of the House Financial Services Committee and a handmaiden to financial interests, won’t be surprised.

He’s received more money from the private equity industry than any other House member this cycle, and is among the top recipients of money from payday lenders.

Unlike Gottheimer, Dr. Arati Kreibich isn’t taking a dime from corporate PACs. She’ll fight back against predatory payday lenders.

The American Prospect continues:

And when the Veterans and Consumers Fair Credit Act, a bill that would cap interest rates at 36 percent for all consumers and rein in the 391 percent average rate that payday lenders currently charge, was introduced in the House in November with broad bipartisan support, Gottheimer … failed to support it.

We deserve Democrats who fight for working people, not payday lenders. That’s why we need progressive neuroscientist Arati Kreibich in Congress.

The Democratic Primary is just weeks away, and The Nation calls this race one of the most important progressive fights in America.

Thanks for standing up.
