John,
Republicans are once again using fear and xenophobia to justify cruel policies that attack immigrants, divide communities, and increase economic suffering.
Right now, Trump and his far-right allies are working to pass the No Bailout for Sanctuary Cities Act, an extremist, anti-immigrant attack that would strip critical federal funding from cities and states that refuse to be complicit in mass deportations.
That means slashing money for education, emergency Medicaid, food assistance, and even programs designed to prevent violence. These cuts would disproportionately harm Black and Brown communities, deepen economic inequality, and force local governments to choose between protecting their residents and funding essential services.
This bill sets a dangerous precedent, making it clear that any community that refuses to align with Trump’s extremist policies can be financially starved into submission. We cannot allow this to happen.
We have protected immigrant families from Trump before and we need you in this fight now. Tell Congress: Reject the No Bailout for Sanctuary Cities Act now.
If this bill passes, it will put millions at risk, forcing many immigrants back into the shadows and making entire communities vulnerable to economic devastation.
Immigrants make our communities stronger. They are workers, business owners, teachers, caretakers, and neighbors. They deserve safety, respect, and dignity, not to be used as pawns in a political power play.
This is our moment to stand up and say that cities should not be punished for doing what’s right.
We must send a clear message: We reject cruelty, we reject fear-mongering, and we will not allow our communities to be held hostage by anti-immigrant politicians.
Please, take action now, and urge your representatives to vote NO on this dangerous bill.
Together, we can ensure that sanctuary cities remain a place of safety and dignity for all.
