Here are 10 steps congressional Democrats are currently taking to fight back against Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and their allies:

1. Drafting legislation to prevent people like Elon Musk from illegally accessing systems containing the highly personal information of taxpayers, including Social Security and Medicare recipients.
2. Detailing ongoing and anticipated litigation efforts to combat Trump’s unlawful executive actions.
3. Fighting any Republican attempts to steal taxpayer money via the upcoming government funding bill.
4. Speaking directly to the American people about Republicans’ plans to raise the already high cost of living – from groceries to fuel and cars.
5. Working with outside experts to expose Republicans’ scheme to rip off taxpayers.
6. Leading a working group to secure the border and defend the Dreamers, farmworkers, and families who contribute to our economy.
7. Detailing the federal funds the Trump administration is putting at risk of being stolen.
8. Battling Republicans as they unveil a scheme to cut taxes for their billionaire donors and wealthy corporations while sticking working-class Americans with the bill.
9. Making the threat presented by violent felons who have been pardoned and released back into neighborhoods throughout the country clear.
10. Meeting directly with constituents to gather as much information as possible on the Trump administration’s impact on Americans’ lives, while communicating how Democrats are advocating on their behalf.

We cannot — and will not — let Trump and Elon Musk do whatever they want without a fight. At the same time, it’s absolutely essential that we elect as many Democrats as possible committed to checking Trump’s power in their cities, districts, and states. To do that, we need your help.
