Hi John -

Part of making healthcare universal is making sure coverage is too.

That means that we must, and will, make comprehensive mental health coverage part of Medicare For All.

We're also going to ensure disability rights.

Neither of these are niche issues: making sure we get them right means thinking about our entire policy approach.

For instance, we'll pass legislation to end the sub-minimum wage exemption, which allows workers with disabilities to be paid less than the minimum wage.

And we'll stop treating addiction as a criminal concern, and instead as a question of healthcare. We'll reduce our prison population and finally provide addiction treatment to anyone who needs it, instead of criminalizing their struggle.
