Many of you know about my time in the Marine Corps.

It was something I felt I owed this country after everything it gave to me and my family. It made me who I am today, and I am proud of my service. I am proud to be a Marine.

But war is hell. My brothers and I went through the worst conditions you can imagine. My best friend was killed in combat. My unit had one of the worst casualty rates of the Iraq War.

The fight didn’t stop then. We came home and had to fight for the benefits we earned. Treatment, services, basic assistance — you name it. And, like every veteran, I know that the casualties don’t stop when your deployment ends.

War is hell. And if you’re sending Americans into harm’s way, you damn well better be able to hold their parents hands and tell them the cause is worth the sacrifice.

Trump wants to invade Panama, Greenland, and now Gaza. Donald Trump is a warmonger.

If he’s serious about this, he should send an Authorization for Use of Military Force to the United States Senate. See what happens. We’ll kill it — and it’ll be a bipartisan blowout.

We just finished 20 years of this. No more.
