John,
Within days of taking power, Donald Trump has gutted USAID — shutting down its website, halting funding, firing dedicated public servants, and even carting away its servers. Years of work, of bipartisan efforts to provide humanitarian aid, build alliances, and counter adversaries like China and Russia, were ripped apart overnight.
And when people raised the alarm, Republican Senator John Kennedy had the audacity to say:
Senator John Kennedy: "You know, call somebody who cares. You better get used to this. It's USAID today, it's going to be the Department of Education tomorrow."

Really? "Call somebody who cares"?
As Senators, it is our job to care. That is the bare minimum we owe to the people we serve. We are elected to represent Americans and fight for them — not to sneer at their concerns and tell them to fend for themselves.
But that’s exactly what the modern Republican Party is about. They don’t care what the American people actually want or need. They care about power, money, and protecting their billionaire allies.
I’m in this fight because I believe that leadership should be about service. About solving problems. About making life better for Americans and for people around the world. But I can't do this alone. Will you chip in today to help me stand up against Donald Trump and his enablers’ reckless agenda for our country? >> [link removed]
