Folks, last night, I spoke on the Senate floor to prevent the GOP-controlled Senate from voting for Russell Vought’s confirmation.
Turn on C-SPAN if you want to tune in—my Democratic colleagues and I will be here until tonight revealing why Vought is a dangerous, disastrous pick to run the Office of Management and Budget.
In the meantime, if you can, split a donation between Tim Kaine's Common Ground PAC and my re-election campaign to fuel our work in the Senate to hold nominees like Vought accountable >> [[link removed]]
Vought said he wants to “traumatize the federal workforce.” Those are his OWN WORDS. He wants to wake up every day believing that our federal workers are the villains in this story.
Frankly, I can’t think of anything more traumatic than what our federal workforce has already gone through since Trump took office. Unfortunately, Vought can, and he wrote all about it in Project 2025.
It couldn’t be more obvious that Vought is a clear and present danger to our country.
But since Republicans would rather pledge blind loyalty to Trump than admit that’s the case, I went to the Senate floor to try and show them the truth and stop his confirmation in its tracks.
I pledge to always fight in Washington to make the lives of all Virginians and Americans safer, healthier, and stronger. That means doing everything in my power to stop Vought from being confirmed. Will you split a donation between Common Ground PAC and my re-election campaign so we can fight back against the Trump administration every step of the way? [[link removed]]
Thank you,
