Formerly a Democrat state representative for Houston’s 146th District, Thierry made headlines in August 2024 when she announced her switch to the Republican Party, citing an alignment with core conservative values. She has been recognized for her work on issues such as maternal mortality and has recently been appointed by Governor Greg Abbott to the Texas Juvenile Justice Board. At our meeting, she’ll be sharing insights on her political journey, key policy priorities, and the future of conservative leadership in Texas.
