The Lincoln Project

Friend,

Trump’s been struggling to deliver on any of his campaign promises, but that’s not how the media is reporting it.

They’re portraying his incompetence and general buffoonery as great business moves. They’re taking his terrible excuses for why his first two weeks in office are the worst in recent history and telling the public it’s all part of MAGA’s “big beautiful plan.”

All you have to do is take a look:

Those tariffs Trump talked about instituting for years? Gone after a day.

The grocery prices Trump promised to lower? On the rise.

The war on Ukraine Trump promised to end “on day one?” Still going.

The booming stock market Trump promised? Shaky.

RFK Jr., the “radical liberal who is worse than Biden” according to Trump? On the cusp of becoming his Secretary of Health and Human Services.

All he’s managed to do in his first two weeks is piss off our allies, free a bunch of insurrectionists from prison, make sure everybody knows he’s a racist, and oh, pick up a couple MORE lawsuits.

Let’s call this presidency what it is: an utter disaster. Not only are the moves Trump promised to make stupid, but the secondary moves that he ends up making are sometimes even worse. And with his stranglehold on (what was once known as) the GOP, it seems like nothing can stop him. All we can do is watch and wait.

Anybody who thinks the last 17 days have been anything but a total train wreck is simply misinformed. And that’s where we come in.

The media can’t be trusted to showcase this clown car of an administration, but we will always be here. The best way to get voters to take action? Showing them what’s happening in Washington. Help us put MAGA on blast >>
