Dear John
Last week, I wrote to you about the bad deal for Londoners that the
Mayor of London and Government struck to bailout TfL. This week I’m
asking for your help, in particular, to urgently reverse the
unfair suspension of free travel for under 18s in London.
With young Londoners returning to school next week and many of them
relying on free travel to get there, there’s no time to lose.
Transport Minister Grant Shapps said that special arrangements
would be put in place for children most in need of free travel but
unfortunately those arrangements still haven’t been made.
To avoid a disaster for the capital’s poorest families, I’ve
written to the Minister to ask him to urgently reverse his
decision. Will you sign our petition in support
too?
With your support, I hope we can get this decision reversed and
that children can travel freely next week.
Kind regards
Siobhan Benita Lib Dem Candidate for Mayor of
London
