Dear SPUC supporter,

I have some very encouraging news to share.

The British abortion lobby is now openly talking about defeat.

Last week abortion activists received a warning that anyone who thinks the pro-life movement can’t win “needs to wake up.”

Radical abortion MP Stella Creasy told the gathering to “take extreme caution of what is happening in America, in Europe.”

These statements follow her earlier warning that abortion could end in Britain because “SPUC lobbies hard”.

And Rachael Clarke, Head of Advocacy at BPAS, has since added that “no one is beyond the risk of what might happen.”

The British abortion industry is right to be afraid.

SPUC does lobby hard - and we have history on our side.

I have just returned from the United States where I met with international pro-life leaders.

I was privileged to participate in the March for Life and see first-hand the joy and optimism of the American pro-life movement following the overturning of Roe vs Wade.
That great victory was the fruit of decades of hard work, sacrifice and prayer –all their efforts have paid off.

We will have our hour of victory in Britain too.

Decades of work will be rewarded, and a new pro-life generation, formed by SPUC, will bring us the victory that Stella Creasy so fears.

But, before that moment comes, there is much work to do.

First, we must defeat assisted suicide in April.

With a decisive victory on that front, we can mobilise all our resources for the full-scale assault against the abortion industry that Creasy and Clarke fear so much.

But they will not make it easy for us.

Creasy called last week for a massive abortion lobby counterattack.

They are going all out for “decriminalisation” of abortion, striking down existing abortion restrictions, and making it easier to kill babies.

This is a decisive hour in the battle for life.

We MUST defeat assisted suicide and we MUST defeat decriminalisation.

But we are still £31,000 short of the £100k we need to fund our emergency campaign.

I have given instructions that the £69,000 already raised (thank you!) be put immediately into use to fund the plan I shared with you last week, but we must raise the whole amount or risk leaving valuable work undone.

The Leadbeater Bill vote has been confirmed for 25^th April.

This gives us just over two months to see off the greatest danger our country has faced since the passage of the Abortion Act in 1967.

Please give to SPUC today, even if you have never given before, and even if you never give again.

This really is a decisive moment for everyone in our country, and for all future generations.

I could not exaggerate it if I tried.
