Joe Biden has committed to reversing one of Trump’s most disastrous environmental decisions as president: allowing construction of the Keystone XL pipeline.
The pipeline, which Trump took executive action to approve after the Obama administration blocked it, would not only increase greenhouse gas emissions and threaten critically endangered species but would also cross through ancestral lands and water systems used by Native American tribes -- which is why tribal leaders are now being forced to sue the U.S. government for their own sovereignty.
